Before you close out this week—how is your heart, really?
For many women, the answer is complicated.
Because while the world sees strength, productivity, faith, and resilience, God sees the burdens we’re carrying behind the scenes.
The burden of always being the strong one.
The burden of caring for everyone except ourselves.
The burden of disappointment.
The burden of unanswered prayers.
The burden of heartbreak.
The burden of trying to heal while still functioning.
The burden of pretending we’re okay when we’re not.
I’ve discovered something in my own healing journey and through years of walking alongside women:
The things we refuse to acknowledge often become the things that quietly drain us.
Many women are physically tired, but the deeper issue is emotional exhaustion.
Not because they’re weak.
Because they’re carrying too much.
The Burdens We Were Never Meant To Carry

Have you ever walked into a room carrying bags from the grocery store?
At first, they seem manageable.
Then your fingers begin to ache.
Your arms become tired.
Your shoulders tighten.
Eventually, the weight becomes unbearable.
Life works the same way.
Every disappointment.
Every betrayal.
Every rejection.
Every loss.
Every unmet expectation.
Every unresolved wound.
Becomes another bag we carry.
Over time, we become so accustomed to carrying the weight that we stop questioning whether it belongs to us.
But Scripture reminds us:
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)
Not some of it.
All of it.
God never asked you to carry alone what He died to help you bear.
Three Questions For Your Heart
As part of this week’s Friday Heart Check-In, take a few moments to journal, reflect, or pray through these questions:
1. What burden have you been carrying that God is asking you to surrender?
2. What emotion have you been avoiding because it feels too painful to face?
3. What would change if you gave yourself permission to put that weight down?
Don’t rush your answers.
Sit with them.
Listen.
Reflect.
Allow your heart to speak.
A Soul Care Practice For This Week
Find a quiet place.
Write down every burden that comes to mind.
Every fear.
Every disappointment.
Every frustration.
Every grief.
Then pray over that list.
One by one.
Release each burden into God’s hands.
You do not have to carry tomorrow’s worries today.
You do not have to carry old wounds into your future.
You do not have to carry what God is asking you to surrender.
Wear Your Healing
One of the greatest lies women believe is that healing should be hidden.
But what if your healing became your testimony?
What if your healing became your ministry?
What if your healing gave another woman permission to begin hers?
That’s the heartbeat behind the Soul Care Revolution.
This movement exists to help women embrace healing, wholeness, and restoration without shame.
The Soul Care Revolution T-Shirt Collection is more than apparel.
It’s a declaration.
A conversation starter.
A reminder that healing is holy work.
Every time you wear it, you’re declaring:
I chose healing.
I chose freedom.
I chose wholeness.
And I’m not hiding it anymore.
Wear your healing for all to see.
