Last Friday of 2025

The calendar is turning, but your nervous system is still mid-sentence. That’s okay. A year isn’t a finish line; it’s a chapter break. How do I emotionally and spiritually close a year—and prepare for the next one?

The calendar is turning, but your nervous system is still mid-sentence. That’s okay. A year isn’t a finish line; it’s a chapter break. God isn’t rushing you to “get over it” by midnight—He’s inviting you to metabolize it. Metabolism is slow, holy work: nutrients extracted, toxins released, energy stored for the next climb. You are allowed to step into 2026 still processing 2023.

As 2025 comes to a close, many people are exhausted—not because the year was busy, but because it was heavy. If you’re stepping into a new year with unanswered questions, lingering grief, or quiet fatigue, you’re not behind—you’re human.

I know this because I lived it.

This year, I navigated pastoring, entrepreneurship, counseling, fasting, praying, and healing in real time. I learned that leadership doesn’t exempt you from pain—and faith doesn’t mean you skip the process.

Here’s what soul care taught me in 2025:
Healing is not linear, and growth often feels like loss before it feels like freedom.

I had to accept that some assignments ended, some relationships shifted, and some versions of me could not come into the next season. That wasn’t failure—it was alignment.

When we resist reflection, we repeat cycles. When we embrace it, we mature.

Try this now:

• Close your eyes.
• Place one hand on your heart.
• Ask: “What truth did this year reveal about me?”
• Write one sentence without judgment.

That sentence is wisdom. That moment is closure.

God is not intimidated by your healing process. He is a faithful teacher, friend, provider, and Father—walking with you through every transition. What you release at the end of this year creates space for peace in the next.

2026 isn’t asking you to be perfect—it’s inviting you to be present.

If you’re becoming someone who values wholeness over hustle, I invite you into The Heart Work—a devotional journal for emotional and spiritual healing.
