If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and He will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if He does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.’” – Daniel 3:16-18
LIFE’S PRESSURE CAN FEEL LIKE A FURNACE
Let’s be real for a second—life has a way of turning up the heat. One day, everything is smooth, and the next, you’re hit with unexpected challenges. Bills stack up, relationships get rocky, your faith feels shaky, and you’re left asking, “God, where are You?”
If you’ve been feeling like the fire is getting hotter, you’re not alone. And more importantly, you’re not about to burn out.
This Sunday at Kingdom Dwellers Church, we’re kicking off our new sermon series: “Faith Under Fire.” Because faith isn’t just about what you believe when things are good—it’s about who you trust when the heat is on.
WEEK 1: WHEN LIFE GETS HOT – STANDING STRONG IN THE FIRE
Daniel 3 gives us one of the boldest faith moves in history. Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego refused to bow to King Nebuchadnezzar’s golden idol. They were thrown into a fiery furnace as punishment. But here’s where it gets wild—they walked out of the fire completely untouched!
THREE POWERFUL LESSONS FROM THEIR FIRE THAT APPLY TO YOURS:
FAITH DOESN’T BEND TO PRESSURE
Life will always try to make you bow to something—fear, anxiety, approval from people, money struggles, self-doubt. But Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego made it clear: “We will not bow.”

🔥 Faith move: This week, decide on one non-negotiable—something you REFUSE to compromise on, no matter the pressure.of turquoise pools and waterfalls.
GOD DOESN’T LEAVE YOU IN THE FIRE
When the king looked inside the furnace, he saw not three, but FOUR men walking around. (Daniel 3:25)
That fourth man? That was GOD showing up in the fire!
Fam, the fire you’re facing right now is not proof that God left you—it’s proof that He’s walking with you.
🙋🏾♀️ Ask Yourself: Have you been assuming your struggles mean God isn’t present?
🔥 Faith move: Instead of asking “Why is this happening?” start asking “God, what are You doing IN this?”
YOUR BREAKTHROUGH BLESSES OTHERS
Here’s what blows my mind—after Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego walked out, the king who tried to kill them ended up praising God! (Daniel 3:28-30)
Your faith under fire isn’t just about you—it’s about the people who will see you come through and believe in God because of it.
